Ingredients:
- ¼ Cup fresh lime juice
- 1 ½ tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 to 5 red chilies
- 1 pound New York or flank steak, grilled and sliced 1/4 inch thick
- ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
- ½ fresh pineapples, peeled, cored. And sliced into bite-sized pieces
- ¼ cup basil leaves
- ½ small cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 large ripe tomato, cut into thin wedges
- Cilantro sprigs for garnish
Directions:
Combine the lime juice, fish sauce, brown sugar, and chilies and set aside.
To assemble the salad, gently toss the dressing, steak, onion, pineapple, basil, cucumber, and tomato. Let the ingredients sit in the dressing for 2 to 3 minutes to absorb flavor before serving. If you like, serve the salad on a platter lined with lettuce. Garnish with cilantro.
